Navigating the new world isn’t an easy task for film crews, and even the productions of Scream and Jurassic World: Dominion were hit by the coronavirus. Protocols are in place and it’s been allowing films to pivot and work themselves back into production rather quickly.
The latest comes via Deadline who reports that New Line temporarily shut down production on the Olivia Wilde-directed film Don’t Worry Darling when a member of the production tested positive for COVID-19.
The film stars Midsommar‘s Florence Pugh, with Harry Styles, Chris Pine, KiKi Layne, Gemma Chan and Nick Kroll, and with Wilde playing a supporting role.
The pic was shooting downtown Los Angeles when this happened yesterday. The site is told “it is not a member of the principal cast but someone who was in close enough proximity to them that the shut down was deemed necessary to find out if anyone else on the production has been exposed. No one else has tested positive at this point.”
Don’t Worry Darling is a psychological thriller about a 1950s housewife whose reality begins to crack, revealing a disturbing truth underneath.
The film has a script by Carey and Shane Van Dyke that was rewritten by Wilde and her Booksmart partner Katie Silberman.
