A man, his dog, and the last woman alive.
Lionsgate heads to a post-apocalyptic future with Chaos Walking, which looks like a sci-fi melting pot that combines “abilities” with an end-of-the-world scenario and an extraterrestrial threat. It looks like a bit much, but the visuals are cool, and it’s clear director Doug Liman was heavily inspired by the criminally underrated The Fifth Element.
The film takes place in the not too distant future, “Todd Hewitt (Spider-Man‘s Tom Holland) discovers Viola (Star Wars‘ Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by “the Noise” – a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, Viola’s life is threatened – and as Todd vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power and unlock the planet’s dark secrets.”
Liman helmed The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow, which means we’re in for an action-packed adventure with Chaos Walking, which won’t release until 2021. Check it out…
