‘Death Shark’: Chinese Monster Movie Goes Heavy On the Computer-Generated Shark Action [Trailer]

Another monster movie is taking a bite out of China this year, with Death Shark (aka Killer Shark) set to premiere on the Chinese streaming platform iQiyi this coming weekend.

No word yet on any kind of release here in the United States, but we did get our hands on the trailer. And, well, it’s loaded with rough computer-generated mayhem. Hey, some horror fans dig that sort of thing and we’re not going to judge. There’s a place for it, and it can be fun!

The film tells the story of six young men and women trapped in the sea and attacked by sharks. Giant raging man-eating sharks, that is, mutated by pollution. Because of course!

Qiu Pincheng, Liang Jingjing, Shu Guilin, Wu Fangyuan and Chen Yajing star.

Shi Qiang wrote and directed Death Shark.

Thanks to Avery Guerra for the scoop.
