‘The Hound’: Zoey Deutch Attached to Star in Body Horror Movie That Begins With a Dog Bite

After stealing the show as Madison in Zombieland: Double Tap, we’ve learned that Zoey Deutch will continue to hang around in the horror genre with Searchlight’s The Hound.

Deadline reports this afternoon that Searchlight has acquired the rights to the werewolf-esque project, with Lisa Duva attached to write the script.

“The story follows a timid dog-groomer, Callie (Deutch). After being bitten by a mysterious stray dog, she’s forced to wrestle with dark, new desires as her body goes through unexpected changes.”

It’s hard to tell if this will be some kind of horror-comedy or a more serious werewolf-type body-horror movie, but we’re on board either way. We’ll report more as we learn it.
