The 2021 Tribeca Festival has unveiled its feature film lineup from the event taking place June 9 to June 20 with a feature lineup that includes 66 films from filmmakers across the globe and 54 world premieres.
The festival’s 20th-anniversary ceremony is not only a celebration of art but a return to community as they are prepared to usher in live events.
Films slated to premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, but postponed due to COVID-19, will also screen at the festival. This includes Bloody Disgusting and Dark Star Pictures’ Honeydew.

MIDNIGHT: Always surprising and boundary-pushing, Tribeca Midnight is the destination for the best in horror and genre discoveries.

SPOTLIGHT NARRATIVE: Anticipated premieres from acclaimed filmmakers and performers are the focus of the Spotlight Narrative section which continues to be a launching pad for the most buzzworthy new films. This year’s Spotlight section will open with the world premiere of Pan Nalin’s The Last Film Show.
False Positive, directed by John Lee, written by John Lee, Ilana Glazer. Produced by John Lee, Ilana Glazer, Jonathan Wang. (United States) – World Premiere. After fertility struggles, a couple seem to have found their savior in a celebrated reproductive specialist. But as hope transforms to happiness, the now-expectant mother is thrown into a spiral of suspicion, threatening her grasp on reality. 2020 FESTIVAL SELECTIONS: After having their planned Tribeca 2020 premieres canceled, the feature films of the 2020 Festival have been invited back for long-awaited in-person premieres in 2021. Participating titles include:
Honeydew tells the story of a young couple (played by Sawyer Spielberg and Malin Barr) who are forced to seek shelter in the home of an aging farmer (Barbara Kingsley) and her peculiar son, when they suddenly begin having strange cravings and hallucinations taking them down a rabbit hole of the bizarre.”
The acclaimed backwoods horror feature, written and directed by Devereux Milburn, boasts the acting debut of Sawyer Spielberg, son of director Steven Spielberg.
The film is now on VOD platforms everywhere.
My Heart Can’t Beat Unless You Tell It To, Written and directed by Jonathan Cuartas, the festival horror-drama has been acquired by Dark Sky Films, and we’ve learned today that they’ll be releasing it in limited theaters and on VOD/Digital this summer, on June 25.
“Dwight (Patrick Fugit) prowls the streets after dark. He searches each night for the lonely and forlorn, looking for people who won’t be missed. Dwight takes no joy in this, but he needs their blood. Without fresh human blood, his fragile young brother Thomas cannot survive.
