Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans’ Unites the Tales of Arcadia on Netflix in July! [Trailer]

This summer… they will rise.

Netflix has announced this afternoon that Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, billed as “the final chapter in Guillermo del Toro‘s extraordinary animated saga,” is coming to the streaming service this summer, specifically on July 21. And we’ve got the teaser trailer today as well.

The feature film will unite the magical worlds of “Trollhunters,” “3Below,” and “Wizards,” the three properties in del Toro and DreamWorks Animation’s “Tales of Arcadia” trilogy.

Via Wiki, “Tales of Arcadia follows the inhabitants of the small suburban town of Arcadia Oaks (a fictionalized version of Arcadia, California), which is secretly home to various supernatural creatures and the young heroes who fight against the forces of evil that lurk in the shadows.”

In the movie, all of the main characters from the trilogy must “join forces for the last time when Arcadia is on the brink of an apocalyptic battle for the control of magic that will determine the fate of these supernatural worlds that have now converged.”

The upcoming animated film is directed by Johane Matte, Francisco Ruiz Velasco, and Andrew Schmidt, with a story by Marc Guggenheim, Dan Hageman, and Kevin Hageman.
