Laurie Holden, who memorably played Andrea in “The Walking Dead” and also starred in Silent Hill and The Mist, is headed back to the small screen in “The Boys,” Deadline reports.
Holden will play a recurring role in the Amazon series’ upcoming third season as Crimson Countess, an antagonist from the comic series who parodies Marvel’s Scarlet Witch.
Jensen Ackles also joins the series in Season 3, playing “Soldier Boy.”
Now streaming through Amazon Prime, “The Boys” (based on the best-selling comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson) puts a bold, fresh and bloody new spin on the superhero genre, centered on a group of vigilantes who set out to take down corrupt superheroes.
The series hails from a team including Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
