I just spent a ton of money on Vudu as they’ve kicked off a killer weekend of deals, making over 100 horror titles available for only $4.99. That’s the price of a Blockbuster rental back in the day.
I like this sale because it’s out of the norm of the typical mainstream horror films that are always on sale and include some rarely discounted gems from the sci-fi mindbending Synchronic to Possessor (Uncut).
Other recent gems include A24’s sci-fi horror Under the Skin, the Korean zombie epic Train to Busan, the Kevin James thriller Becky, the 1980’s slasher Summer of ’84, the aquatic horror Sea Fever, Fear Street director’s Honeymoon, as well as Villains, It Comes at Night, The Hole in the Ground, Monsters, Green Room, Black Swan, Better Watch Out, Tragedy Girls, The Blackcoat’s Daughter, Lords of Chaos, and many more.
Then there’s Red Dragon, The Running Man, Joe Dante’s The Explorers, Kevin Smith’s Tusk, among others. With another week until Halloween, I expect next week’s sale to be even better.
