‘Halloween Kills’ Remains in the Box Office Top 10 With $127 Million Worldwide

Now in its fourth week of theatrical and at-home release (via Peacock), Halloween Kills was bumped down to the #7 spot on the box office charts, pushed out of last week’s #2 spot by big time films including Marvel’s Eternals (#1) and Dune (#2), as well as No Time to Die (#3), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (#4), Ron’s Gone Wrong (#5), and The French Dispatch (#6).

This past weekend (Friday-Sunday), Halloween Kills made another $2,350,000 at 3,098 theaters in the U.S., bringing the slasher sequel’s domestic total to $89,715,075 so far.

Worldwide, the new movie has made $126,995,075 to date.

Back in 2018, Halloween ended its worldwide theatrical run with $255 million, $159 million of which was made here in the United States. Of course, the release of that film was an entirely different situation that’s essentially beyond compare, as the 2018 franchise relaunch was not released during a pandemic and also was not released at home on the same day as theaters.

What we do know about the at-home release of Halloween Kills, on that note, is that the film was the number one non-live event premiere in Peacock’s history.

Theatrically, Halloween Kills is likely to remain under $150 million at the worldwide box office, which would bring its total to about $100 million less than the previous movie’s.

No matter, Halloween Ends is *definitely* happening, with filming set to begin early next year. At this time, Halloween Ends is set to arrive in theaters on October 14, 2022.

The Top 10 Streaming Scary Movies of Today (According to Netflix)

Given that Netflix really is the master of their own data, how many times a viewer streams The Ridiculous 6, or what films don't get watched all the way straight through, or how many times someone watches an episode of Bill Nye Saves the World, it was easy for them to come up with the list based on just one percentage: 70 percent.
