‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Super Bowl Trailer Brings the Horror!

Marvel has just unleashed the full trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will technically be Sam Raimi’s first horror movie in more than 10 years!

This time around, Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) joins forces with Wanda/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and it looks like they’ll be contending with everything from otherworldly monsters to an evil version of Strange himself.

This new trailer fresh out of the Super Bowl tonight goes full-on horror and even ends with what looks to be Raimi’s own version of “Evil Strange” (see above)!

The greatest threat to the universe? Well, it may be Doctor Strange…

Speaking at a recent Q&A (via Games Radar), star Elizabeth Olsen promised that Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange sequel is “very scary,” which should please horror fans.

“It’s a very scary movie,” Olsen said. “It’s like old Sam Raimi. They’re trying to create the scariest Marvel movie.”

The film also stars Xochitl Gomez, Benedict WongChiwetel Ejiofor, and Rachel McAdams.

Raimi’s return to the world of Marvel will release in theaters on May 6, 2022.
