Stephen King Movie ‘Cat’s Eye’ Claws into a 4K Ultra HD Upgrade

Director Lewis Teague followed up Cujo with another Stephen King adaptation in 1985, and this week we’ve learned that Cat’s Eye is the next horror film to get a 4K Ultra HD release.

This one comes courtesy of UK company StudioCanal, but as always, we’re happy to remind you that 4K Ultra HD discs are inherently Region Free, so no worries there!

The Blu-ray disc that’s part of this release, however, is Region B.

“From the macabre imagination of Stephen King (the bestselling author of Firestarter, The Shining & Carrie) comes this newly restored trio of thrilling tales linked by a stray cat that roams from one story to the next in search of a girl he must protect.”

As far as special features are concerned, Justin Beahm lets us know this week that the release is “sporting a new interview with director Lewis Teague from my Reverend Entertainment!”

You can pre-order Cat’s Eye from Diabolik, expected in May 2022. If you recall, two of the film’s three tales come from King’s first short story collection Night Shift, which you can revisit with our weekly King podcast, The Losers’ Club, below.
