Free Weekend Coming up for Asymmetrical Multiplayer Game ‘Monstrum 2′

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Junkfish’s asymmetical multiplayer title Monstrum 2, this week will be the time to do so. Not only will Monstrum 2 be part of Steam’s Survival Fest event running from August 1st – 8th, but the game will also have a free weekend during the event.

Monstrum 2 will be available for free as part of a Steam free weekend on August 4th till August 7th. In addition, the game will be exiting Early Access “soon” on Steam after its initial launch in January 2021.

The follow-up to the acclaimed Monstrum, the sequel sees you and up to three of your friends locked in a tactical struggle to escape the decrepit sea fortress known as Sparrow Lock. To add some “levity” to it all, you’ve also got to avoid the player-controlled monster that lurks in the bowels of the fortress. It’s up to you and your fellow inmates how you survive as you use your cunning and your wits to navigate the abandoned facility’s rusted labyrinth and overcome puzzles along the way.

Or, if you’re the bloodthirsty type, you have a variety of deadly monsters to choose from, hunt down your prey as you attempt to exploit the environment to your advantage using your own unique abilities.
