Change is coming in the new trailer for Nia DaCosta’s 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Based on the fresh look below, we can expect that change to be utterly terrifying.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple picks up the epic story when Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself forming a sort of friendship with the infected that could alter the world forever. Meanwhile, Spike’s (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) becomes a nightmare he can’t escape. This time, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival. The cruelty that lurks inside of the survivors is far more terrifying.
The 28 Days franchise has always painted its post-apocalyptic world as a hellish nightmare. And with Bone Temple, it appears that hellfire is expanding into an all out inferno. Between Jimmy’s belief that Dr. Kelson may be the devil and image after image of fiery chaos, we are truly about to enter Hell with this new entry. And with DaCosta directing, that’s a journey I personally can’t wait to go on.
The film also stars Erin Kellyman (The Green Knight) and Chi Lewis-Parry (The Running Man).
Franchise co-creator Alex Garland (Ex Machina) returns to write the script.
Enter The Bone Temple when it comes to theaters on January 16th, 2026 from Sony.
