Shudder will honor George A. Romero’s legacy on February 4, 2026, with a full day of programming and events celebrating what would have been the horror icon’s 86th birthday.
The celebration, titled A Very Scary Unbirthday to George A. Romero, is curated by filmmaker Tina Romero and includes a Shudder TV movie marathon, a soundtrack release, a merchandise drop, and a live virtual birthday party hosted by Fangoria.
The day begins with the release of the original motion picture soundtrack for Tina Romero’s debut feature Queens of the Dead, composed by Blitz//Berlin. The album includes the film’s original score and a cover of Kesha’s Blow performed by Jaquel Spivey, and arrives on digital platforms February 4.
That evening, Shudder TV will air a Romero Movie Block beginning at 7 pm ET, featuring The Amusement Park, Queens of the Dead, and Day of the Dead.
Official Queens of the Dead merch will also launch on February 4, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Venus Pellagatti Xtravaganza House.
The celebration concludes at 9:45 pm ET with a virtual birthday party on Instagram Live hosted by Fangoria, featuring Tina Romero and special guests from the Queens of the Dead cast and the Romero universe.
Queens of the Dead is currently available on Shudder and AMC+, with a Hulu release planned for later in 2026.
