FX is opening the door to American Horror Story: 13, with a first teaser revealing a parade of familiar faces… and nightmares… from the franchise’s past.
The footage confirms Jessica Lange is back as “Murder House” matriarch Constance Langdon, while Evan Peters reprises his “Cult” role as Kai Anderson. Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett and Emma Roberts return to the world of “Coven” as Cordelia Goode, Marie Laveau and Madison Montgomery, respectively. Also making ominous reappearances are “Freak Show” killer Twisty the Clown, played by John Carroll Lynch, and the original season’s Rubber Man.
For its unlucky 13th outing, the long-running horror franchise is putting an anthology inside its anthology, with FX rolling out 13 half-hour episodes.
The season premiere is set for Thursday, Sept. 24 at 9pm ET/6pm PT on FX and Hulu, notes Variety. The show’s premiere night and week two will each feature three episodes, followed by a pair of episodes releasing each Thursday leading up to the 13th and final episode on October 29.
