Girl Group Hunts Demons in Upcoming ‘K-Pop: Demon Hunters’ from Sony Pictures Animation

“This film follows a world-renowned K-Pop girl group as they balance their lives in the spotlight with their secret identities as badass demon hunters,” Sony Pictures Animation detailed today while announcing K-Pop: Demon Hunters, currently in development at the studio behind Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.

Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans are directing the film. Sony notes, “The story is an homage to Director Maggie Kang’s Korean roots and her die-hard love of K-Pop.”

Ami Thompson will serve as the art director, with Mingjue Helen Chen as the production designer. K-Pop: Demon Hunters will be produced by Aron Warner.
