[Updated] NECA Reveals Stunning ‘An American Werewolf in London’ Figure!

No Toy Fair, no problem. NECA has been slowly rolling out reveal after reveal of action figures we can expect later in 2021. While the majority have been fresh additions to their tubular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collections, we did learn of a brand new black and white Universal Monsters series that was introduced with a ridiculously cool Frankenstein figure and a tease of The Wolf Man. While we wait for them to pull back the curtain on the latter, among others, NECA did just make a major reveal.

There’s a bad moon on the rise as NECA is set to bring toy fans one of their greatest accomplishments yet, an absolutely stunning toy from John Landis‘ masterpiece An American Werewolf in London.

The above sculpt is from the final scene in the movie where a wolfed-up David Kessler (David Naughton) is cornered in a London alleyway and eventually shot dead.

UPDATED 3/8 with a new shot of the “bloody” variant head!

This isn’t the first figure created from An American Werewolf in London. SOTA made a toy based on the nightmare demon that currently goes for around $50 on eBayPop Culture Shock showed off their 7″ figures of David and the wolf back in 2016, but it appears they never came to fruition. SOTA also planned a box set in 2007 that never made it to retailers.
